Getting started

1

Open the app

Head to the app page. No account, no sign-up, no payment needed. Everything runs in your browser.

2

Load your data

Paste your transaction data into the text area, upload a CSV or TSV file, or click "Load sample data" to see how it works with pre-built example records. The tool expects columns for customer identifier, date, and amount — in any order, with or without a header row.

3

Click "Analyze"

Your data is processed right in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere. You will see your customers grouped into segments (steady, new, at risk, lapsing, inactive), purchase patterns, and the arithmetic behind every number.

Frequently asked questions

  1. What format does my data need to be in?

The tool accepts CSV and TSV files with at least three columns: a customer identifier (name, code, or ID), a date, and an amount. Columns can be in any order — the tool tries to detect which is which. Headers are optional. A typical file looks like:

    Customer ID,Date,Amount A-1001,2026-01-15,42.50 A-1001,2026-02-20,38.00 B-2002,2026-01-10,15.99

If the tool cannot parse your file, it will show an error message explaining what went wrong (usually a missing date column or unreadable values). Try the sample data first to confirm the tool works.

  2. How do you decide who is "steady", "at risk", "lapsing", or "inactive"?

The tool uses the time since each customer's last purchase and how many times they have visited, compared to the overall pattern in your data:

    • Steady — multiple purchases, most recent within the last 30 days.
    • At risk — 31–60 days since last purchase. The gap is growing.
    • Lapsing — 61–180 days since last purchase. They have quietly drifted away.
    • Inactive — over 180 days since last purchase. May need a different approach.
    • New — one recent purchase within the 60-day window.

Every segment card shows the exact arithmetic — no black box. The thresholds are fixed defaults and cannot currently be adjusted (that is a planned Pro feature).

  3. Can I save my analysis and come back to it later?

No. LoyaltyLoopAI is a one-shot analysis tool — your data is processed entirely in your browser and is discarded when you close the tab. There are no accounts, no cloud storage, and no save function, and saving is not planned: the product is deliberately built without a server or database, so nothing can be stored on our side. If you want to keep the results, take a screenshot or note down the key numbers.

  4. Is there a limit on how much data I can analyze?

The free tier handles up to 10,000 transaction rows. If your file exceeds that, the tool will show an error. The Pro tier (in development) will support up to 100,000 rows. There is no account or rate limit — you can run as many analyses as you like, one at a time.

  5. Does the tool connect to my POS or inventory system?

No. LoyaltyLoopAI is not integrated with any point-of-sale, CRM, or inventory system. You export your transaction history from your POS and paste or upload it manually. The tool runs everything locally in your browser — it does not pull data from anywhere. A direct POS integration would require a server-side component, which is not in the current scope.

  6. When will Pro and Business plans be available? Can I pre-order?

Paid plans are in development with no confirmed release date. The features listed on the Pricing page describe the planned scope, but no payment system is connected yet, and no pre-orders are being taken. There is no mailing list or notification system — we cannot email you when plans launch because there is no email sender connected to this service. Check back on the site for updates.

Known limitations

  • No account system. The free tier does not store user accounts, profiles, or preferences. Every visit is a fresh start.
  • No email or notifications. The service cannot send email alerts when customers lapse, confirmations, receipts, or reminders. There is no email sender on this system.
  • One-shot analysis. Close the tab and your results are gone. There is no history, no saved sessions, no cloud storage.
  • Fixed segment thresholds. The 30/60/180-day boundaries are baked in. Custom thresholds are a planned Pro feature.
  • No POS integration. Data must be exported and pasted or uploaded manually. No real-time sync.
  • 10,000 row limit. The free tier caps at 10,000 transaction rows. Larger datasets will not process.
  • No predictions. The tool shows what has already happened (recency, frequency, monetary value). It does not predict future behaviour, score churn probability, or use machine learning.
  • No payment system. Paid plans are not purchasable yet. The checkout demo on the Pricing page is a visual mock-up only.
  • No legal entity. The operator has not yet registered a legal entity or jurisdiction for LoyaltyLoopAI. See the Terms and Privacy pages for details.
